THE ASSIGNMENT

Focus on employees to reach operative goals

Posten Bring’s group-wide goal of being the most attractive workplace creates a focus on leaders and employees in continuous development. To succeed in this work, a new concept for employee development and a new HR system that supports developmental activities are being implemented. A high willingness to change and a successful implementation were considered crucial for the operations to secure the necessary steering, engagement, and employee development in line with Posten’s overarching operative goals. Here, Posten Bring needed support in the form of the capacity and competence to perform usability testing and streamlining of processes and systems ahead of implementation.


SOLUTION

User testing and adaptation as success factors in the implementation

Implementation of new processes requires a willingness to change in the organization, and user acceptance requires thorough user testing and adaptation. Knowit took responsibility for user testing and pilot testing with a total of 60 users. Insights from the pilot were used to improve usability in the system and to define a direction for change management and streamlined development processes. Knowit has also developed a comprehensive plan for communication and supported the creation of introductory training for different processes and user types.

Knowit has helped with the creation of an employee development concept based on theory and best practices. The goal was to establish structured and timely processes and a joint understanding of development. This creates employee engagement and ensures consistency in communication and training. Knowit has also functioned as a strategic advisor in the establishment of OKRs in the group departments working with HR development, to ensure they share a direction and clear priorities and can create cross-department synergies.

OUTCOME

Comprehensive approach for increased competitiveness and employee engagement

The project has contributed to clearer prioritizations of goals and improved execution, as well as laying the foundation to ensure successful implementation in the organization. The structured approach to user testing and pilot testing, change management, and tailored training contribute to promoting increased user adoption and willingness to change within the organization.

A comprehensive approach to employee development contributes to creating an attractive workplace that gains and retains talented employees, as well as a culture for learning and development that ensures that the company is flexible and future-oriented. The implementation of OKRs ensures that goals and directions are shared, which contributes to the group departments’ abilities to use synergies in their work. Taken together, these actions lead to a more effective, innovative, and attractive organization, which in turn increases Posten Bring’s competitiveness.
