CASE
VASA MUSEUM
New website with high accessibility
The world’s ninth most interesting museum. With a website that’s at least as interesting. Our focus was to deliver a website with high accessibility and deliver the same experience online as when visiting Vasa Museum.
The same WOW feeling
At least, that was the aim when we began our journey together with the Vasa Museum; to deliver the same experience online as when visiting the museum. In addition, the website was intended to accompany visitors before, during and after their encounter with the Vasa ship – which naturally took centre stage throughout the assignment.
The journey begins online
As everyone should be able to experience the good ship Vasa, we placed high demands on accessibility. Our survey revealed that we needed to give a great deal of attention to our international visitors. At the same time, the website contains something for everyone, from curious researchers to curious children.
Our work with the Vasa Museum continues, for example through making it even easier to buy tickets prior to your visit. Or perhaps you would like to book a tour to follow one of our greatest celebrities down the years. If so, the best place to begin the journey is online.
With the new vasamuseet.se we now have a modern digital presence with easy access for all visitors. Our new look, with a great focus on the Vasa ship, is aimed at providing online visitors with that WOW feeling close to a personal visit to the museum. With have received a great deal of positive feedback from visitors, which is proof of our genuine success. We are extremely satisfied with Knowit’s engagement, inspiration and delivery of our new website for the Vasa Museum and we look forward to the next stage of our joint digital journey!
