Knowit is a new member of the UN Global Compact
We are both pleased and proud to have been accepted as a member of the UN Global Compact, the world’s largest sustainability initiative serving to strengthen the social responsibility of companies.
As a UNGC member, we are committed to actively working with sustainability matters and annually reporting the progress of our sustainability efforts to the UN. The membership also involves a responsibility to promote the UN’s 17 sustainable development goals and ten principles connected to international conventions on human rights, labor law, the environment, and fighting corruption.
“Through our membership, we are showing our support for the UN Global Compact and committing to improve our operations so that the UN principles permeate our strategy, our culture, and our day-to-day work,” says Joakim Pilborg, Head of Sustainability at Knowit.
The UN Global Compact was initiated in 1999 by former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. With more than 13,000 participants across 170 countries, the UNGC is the largest sustainability initiative in the world.
